Okay, okay, so I couldn't wait until tomorrow. Scrappin' Great Deals releases a scrapbooking kit every month. I was fortunate to be asked to create some layouts using the May kit. Here they are:
Layout One:
Close up of chipboard bird, coloured with alcohol inks:
Layout Two:
Close up of Layered Title:
Layout Three:
Layout Four:
Well there they are! I am very happy with how they turned out. I used practically every item in the kit. I think there was only 6" of the pink cardstock left, and less than that of one of the patterned paper. Four full layouts in one kit!! WooHoo!
If you haven't already, please check out SGD's resident designer's blog, Sarah, to see her incredible creations with the kit!

MAY SCRAPBOOKING KIT
I am very excited about this month's kit because I got to help Sheila put it together. (Don't worry Marie it was only this once!) I also got to play with the kit and put together a few layouts. It was a bit of a challenge because it is backwards from how I usually create a layout. I usually have my pictures first, then put the paper, embellishments etc., together based on those pictures. With the kit, I had all these incredibly beautiful papers, chipboard, flowers, brads, ribbon....and I had to find pictures to match them. It was a lot of fun! So here is the kit and tomorrow I will post my creations!!

SCRAPFEST!!
It was amazing! I had a wonderful time shopping with my very good friend Angie, met up with a couple of my new friends from SGD, Kimmie & Andrea, for lunch at Red Lobster. We waddled back to the Aud for more shopping. I spent more than my hubby probably wants to know; got a bunch of older lines of paper that I thought were gone forever, a super cool dinosaur border punch, some stamps, some rub ons....it was a great day!

FAMILY ALBUM
I just finished this album for my mother in laws birthday. It became one of those projects where you wish you were making it for yourself! I really love the way it turned out. It's hard to tell sometimes, but I think she liked it. It is a chipboard album made by Bo-bunny.
I used a lot of different designer paper, two Fancy Pants lines, a Bo-bunny and a Minds Eye; chalk ink around the edges, Prima flowers, Kaiser pearls, Basic Grey brads, Cosmo Cricket ribbon. I love that I pulled together so many lines, and the colours are just fantastic together! (If I do say so myself!) Here are some pictures of the inside of the album:
Fantastic subjects, my niece and nephew, and my two boys.
