He dreams of Australia!!

Welcome!!!  Today Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is releasing their new JULY stamps!

As you’ve seen over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, we have AMAZING new stamps for you to play with this month!  To start things off we have a very elegant Sympathy Set featuring a gorgeous floral image by Emilie Goulet, along with several coordinating sentiments. We have three new Back to School images from Cheryl Alger, five new Outdoor Fun stamps from Emilie Goulet and six awesome new Traveling Girls from Annie Rodrigue!!

You will get to see most of the new images while you sit back and enjoy our Krafty Hop  If you want to start from the beginning, just head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge Blog!  As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of stamps from the new release!!  And when you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie shop, because ALL the new images are NOW available!

If you are following the hop you should have arrived here from Hannah's blog!!

I chose to play with one of Annie's Traveling Girls for today's hop....Donna (named after the fabulous Aussie Krafty Girl!) Now my son has had a thing for Australia since he first watched Steve Irwin's Crocodile Hunter video.  He is an Australia expert, not only does he like the popular well known animals, ie. Kangaroos and Koalas, he can tell you about monitor lizards, echidnas, their habitats and he even has a stuffed wombat.  He has a treasure trove of knowledge in that head of his! I hope his dream comes true one day.  We are saving our pennies!

Here is my layout: He dreams of Australia:

The map of Australia was printed on plain copy paper, mod-podged to cardstock, painted with some distress stains, tore up, inked...I tried to make it look like an old pirates map.  Steve Irwin and his crocodile was a photo off his Australia Zoo website, printed and cut out.  The patterned paper is Bobunny and Simple Stories, both were part of Scrappin' Great Deals July Scrapbooking Kit, as were the Bobunny rub ons that I used around the layout, and the chipboard alpha that I covered in Fired Brick ink & stickles!  I traced out the letters for Australia using a stencil, and cut out the title.  Viva Decor Black Pearls were scattered around as a finishing touch!  Really liking that medium!
Thanks for hopping by, and remember to leave a comment to be eligible to win!!  Your next stop on the hop is the very talented Peggy!!
